Creating a Gallery to Showcase Multiple Galleries in Divi

By Divi Dude

F rustrated. That’s how I felt when I first started trying to create multiple galleries in Divi. Sure, there were plenty of Divi tutorials on how to create one gallery. But what I couldn’t find was how to create a gallery that has thumbnails of other galleries. Say for instance you’re a photographer who wants to showcase photos of food, models and landscapes. You’d probably want to separate them into their own galleries and not just display them willy-nilly next to each other … It took me forever to figure out how to use a combination of projects and portfolio in Divi to do this.

A little ways down you’ll find a video describing how to do this. But for those of you who would rather read than watch a video, let me break it down how to create multiple galleries in Divi:

  1. Create a new project. (not post, not page, but project).
  2. Insert full row.
  3. Insert the gallery module. Choose grid as your layout setting.
  4. Click “Add to Gallery”. Upload your photos. Set the rest of your settings how you would for any gallery. Save & exit.
  5. Add a new project category, or pick already created category.
  6. Set the feature image (this will be the image displayed in the thumbnail).
  7. Make any style changes to your settings module you want.
  8. Click “Publish” button.
  9. Add a new page.
  10. Insert column – Full row.
  11. Insert the portfolio module. Number of posts = how many galleries you want to include.
  12. Choose the categories you want to include.
  13. Choose the rest of the settings you want for the module.
  14. Save and exit.
  15. Make final settings to your section module, if you want.
  16. Publish.

Now it’s quite simple. So simple I created a video to explain how to do it.

MailerLite is an affordable, easy-to-use newsletter and email marketing platform

For the longest time I used MailChimp. I was drawn to the 2,000 free subscribers.

But when MailChimp changed how they defined subscribers and made some other not so user friendly changes, I started looking for alternatives. Not just for the free tier, but for my paid subscriber lists (I have clients that send out newsletters and they need more bang for the buck than what many free tier offers).
